We have been learning how to sketch and shade our drawings. After studying some still-life work by Paul Cezanne, we worked on sketching fruit. We have used different pencils and different types of shading. We also studied how to shade thinking about the reflection of light on an object. We transferred these skills to our painting work, thinking about the intensity of colour when using water colours.
