In science, we have been studying materials and their properties. We carried out an investigation to test which substances dissolved in water and recorded the results. We observed the substance that dissolved were soluble and those that didn't were insoluble. 

We discussed whether the temperature of water would affect the solubility of sugar. We carried out a fair test to investigate our prediction that, 'The higher the temperature of the water the quicker the sugar would dissolve.'  We tested our prediction using boiling, lukewarm and cold water.
